ALPHA-ARBUTIN: Is a naturally derived substance, found in cranberries, blueberries and pears with melanin-inhibiting properties. It can be used as both a skin lightener, and to help remove age spots, freckles, etc. A recent test on Asian women showed Alpha Arbutin to be far more effective as a skin lightener/brightener then Kojic Acid and Hydroquinone, the two most common, and older, methods of brightening/lightening the skin.
LICORICE EXTRACT: Has a very strong ability to inhibit Tyrosinase. Also an antioxidant, this specific Licorice Extract has been shown to be 25-times better at Tyrosinase inhibition then Kojic Acid.
TETRAHEXYLDECYL ASCORBATE: Is a very specific form of Vitamin-C that is used. One of the main benefits of Vitamin-C is cosmetic products is its brightening/whitenening effect on the skin. However, Vitamin-C is very unstable, and very difficult to get into the skin. Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate delivers actual Vitamin-C 50-times better then Ascorbic Acid. It has also been shown to decrease melanin up to 80%.
AGARICUS BISPONUS (MUSHROOM) BETA GLUCAN: This special form of Beta Glucan, taken from mushroom has been clinically proven to increase whitening of the skin.
EMBLICA: Is a natural fruit extract that has been proven to be an excellent skin brightener and lightener. Clinically proven to be effective on Caucasian, Hispanic and Asian Skin.
MULLBERRY ROOT EXTRACT: Is an excellent natural anti-inflammatory, which also inhibits tyrosinase.
SALICYLIC ACID: Is a Beta-Hydroxy Acid that addresses many causes of blemishes and redness. It is an anti-irritant, has anti-microbial properties, and can be effective against many forms of discoloration from acne to simple blemishes as rosacea.
SCUTELLARIA BAICALENSIS ROOT EXTRACT: Is used for its various flavanoids, which have skin lightening and tyrosinase inhibiting properties.
