MIAMI, FL -- PURE SOURCE, Inc. has completed it’s safety testing for their revolutionary Eyelash Growth Serum. Having already released data from clinical trials that are believed to be by the far the best in this quickly emerging category, Pure Source is also believed to be the first company to complete a complete battery of safety testing on the product.
“We knew the level of performance of our product was remarkable,” said Pure Source President/CEO Joel Meyerson. “But there were some safety issues on some of the other Eyelash Serums that concerned us. We always put the well-being of our consumers first, and wanted to make sure our product had no adverse effects.”
There have indeed been issues with previously released products in this category. Some products contained prostaglandin, which can cause permanent damage to the cornea and thus, permanent vision damage. Another product, thought to be the benchmark in the industry, reluctantly admitted that their product can cause the color of the iris to permanently change.
The testing on Pure Source’s product, all done at independent laboratories, confirms that this product has none of those issues. A complete RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Test) was performed. This is a 50-panel test that looks for the level of irritation when the product is used repeatedly in the same spot. Of the 50 panelists, there were zero signs of any irritation. Pure Source then commissioned a Corneal testing to check for irritation and risk of damage if the product were to be directly applied to the cornea. On a scale of 1.0-75.0, the Pure Source product actually tested out to a negative figure, -0.13.
“We believe that when both retailers and consumers add our safety testing to the clinical performance data, they’ll see that our product really is revolutionary,” Meyerson said. “Especially when they realize that all the data was done at independent laboratories and easily verifiable.”
The original clinical data is remarkable, and this is the product that set off a firestorm in the industry as competitors fought to be able to duplicate, or come close to duplicating, the Pure Source trials. Those clinical trials showed that using the product for 4-weeks (once/day), the consumer can experience up to an 82% increase in overall mass and density of the eyelashes. The clinicals also showed an average increase of well over 50%, and a statistically significant increase on 100% of the panelists tested. To date, it is believe that nobody has come close to the maximum figure of 82% or the average figure of close to 55%. The closest verifiable clinical results to those numbers was a test based on 16-weeks of use, and that product also cleared failed to match the Pure Source results.
